All Change!
I'm very excited at the moment, because I'm waiting for a very special present from Santa to arrive. I'm getting a workshop for Christmas! Mr Badger is also excited about this, because it means we get the spare room back! And the Cub... well, he's just generally over-excited, so it's hard to tell the difference, but I'm sure he's pleased for me too ☺
As such, I'm going to be starting some new classes in the New Year. None of these have fixed dates yet, because I'm letting people register interest and tell me their availability first. The idea is that I will then have a rather manic Christmas trying to work out the logistics, and hopefully find a time that is suitable for everyone who wants to come.
I've been advertising these on my facebook page but thought I'd get them all in one place on here. So, in no particular order, do you fancy...

Deck the Halls with Boughs of... Daisies?
Welcome to the December Blog Hop, and welcome to... my brand new blog! This one is easier to find, and a bit more user friendly (which is a good thing in the case of this particular user!), and if you have any feedback I'd love to hear from you.
What better way to kick off something new than with my favourite season? I ran a class last week using the Daisy Punch, and I was keen to see what else I could do with it. Even though it's not a festive item, I was playing around and found that the daisies can quite easily be repurposed into...
Puddings! It doesn't get much more festive than that! I got a bit carried away and made more...
...and a few more. And you know what? They look fab as fairy lights too!
So there you have it - turns out the Daisy Punch is possibly the most festive item in the catalogue after all 😊
Do carry on hopping, and I wish you a very Happy Christmas and all the best for 2018!

I See Your True Colours
Colouring is all the rage, and here at Stampin' Up! we have just released our very own brand of alcohol-based blendable markers - Stampin' Blends! These are available in a range of colours that co-ordinate with our fab colour suites, making for seamless, professional results if you want to use colouring on a project.
Of course, there are other ways of colouring. We have our Stampin' Markers, and the blender pens make it easy to use any colour by using them in conjunction with the ink pads or the watercolour pencils, as well as the Stampin' Markers.
But what to colour...? Needless to say, we have lots of stamps, and for the first time in this year's annual catalogue we have a larger selection of stamps made specifically for colouring in, not to mention the speciality DSP. But it never hurts to have an extra string to your bow: did you know it's really not that difficult to create your own designs to colour?
Start with a simple shape, drawn with a permanent black fineliner (I've used a 0.8mm here). Next, divide it up into some sections. It doesn't matter if they're a bit wonky like mine - when you've finished you really won't notice! Then you can begin to add in detail, a bit at a time. I swapped to a 0.3mm fineliner when I got to the last bits of detail.
The next step is to add some colour! I've chosen autumn colours, and you can see the photo I used for my colour inspiration above. I've used a blender pen with the ink pads, because I love the versatility of being able to control exactly how much ink I'm using, and it's easy to fade colour evenly.
Being me, of course, I've had to add some bling...
And voila! The finished item:
There's lots of colouring inspiration today, so hop on around the blog and enjoy the makes. Happy Colouring!
