Rainbow Birthday

There is very little in life - in my humble opinion - that cannot be improved by the addition of a rainbow.  I only used one stamp here (well, apart from the sentiment, of course), the spray from Hopeful Thoughts, but I think the gradual variations of colour really step the card up to something special.

Birthday Bubbles

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy making custom-sized gift packaging.  There's something so pleasing about popping a gift into a box or bag that was made to fit it exactly, and I think it makes the gift a bit more special too, because the recipient knows you didn't just grab it off the shelf.

There's less than a week left to earn these papers now with the Sale-a-bration promotion, so if you fancy them let me know and I'll get your order in!

Party On, Pandas!

One of the things I love most about the Stampin'Up! stamp sets is how well they can be paired with other sets. I don't think any of these look like they weren't meant to go together, and it really opens up the scope of things these cheeky pandas can get up to!

Let's hope they recover from their shenanigans soon 😉

Mum's the Word

Mother's Day always motivates me to start spring crafting in earnest.  Mama Badger has always loved daffodils, and if there's a flower that says "spring" more than a good old daff I don't know what it is.  We have some miniature ones at the front of our house - they arrive every year without fail, although we've never planted any!  I thought the snow might have finished them off this year, but they're hardy little things and are still soldiering on.

Here are my two projects from this year.  One straight card using the Sale-a-bration Springtime Foils DSP and basket stamp - not my usual style, but a chance to play with the Blends, and I love how well it worked with the Brusho background.

I also made the world's biggest gift tag!  It's a mash-up of an eclipse card and a shaker card, again using the Springtime foils.  I love this DSP!

Hope you had a great Mother's Day if that's your thing, or just a happy, relaxing weekend if not xx

Spring into... well, we can dream!

Hello, and welcome to the first Jem's Blog Hop of, ahem, Spring.  The Badger Cub is sceptical, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it arrives soon!

Our brief this month is to provide some spring inspiration.  My first make was a challenge to myself:  I got the Picnic With You set at On Stage, and it was not something I would have picked out for myself, so it has been sat on the shelf waiting for me to take the plunge.  I think it looks really nice paired with the Colour Theory papers (my favourite), and I'm pleased that I managed to get most of the elements of the set in.  Even if it's not a terribly original idea I think it looks bright and spring-like!

Next up was a play with the Brushos.  I could have kicked myself for not making this into a Mother's Day card!  Brushos might well be a way forward for me with regard to my crippling fear of blank white space...😱

And finally I had a "purely stamping" play with the Hold on to Hope set, and another one with the leaves and flowers from Picnic With You.

So even though it's snowing outside I'm feeling kind of spring-like!

I'm last in the hop today, but if you've joined halfway through please click through to Sarah-Jane's blog and pick up some more springiness!
